All engaged couples wishing to be married at the Cathedral take an in depth Focus Inventory that they later review with a team couple and with the pastor prior to setting a firm wedding date.   Once the couples have set a firm wedding date they have several options for continued marriage preparation.  Most couples attend a parish sponsored five week marriage preparation course with other engaged couples.</description>

Harley started praying to God when Harley&#39;s grandson, Marshall, was sent to Afghanistan. In thanksgiving for his safe return Harley decided to go to church.  He felt so welcome at St. Barbara&#39;s Church in Black Diamond, that he decided to become Catholic. </description>

<description>Jeannie Berwick volunteers her time as the director of One Equal Heart Foundation, an organization established to support the Jesuit Mission for indigenous rights in Chiapas, Mexico.  The Tseltal people have many needs.  The focus of the foundation is to help the people with long range solutions to their problems.  They are concentrating on sustainable agriculture, animal husbandry and nutrition.  They also support work study scholarships for the youth who want to study beyond high school.  Jeannie has led several delegations of people on a ten day journey to be present to the people of Chiapas.</description>

They are joined on the program by Julia Maher, a seven year old student that attends the Catechism Club each week. This innovative program uses games and competition to teach grade school age children about their Catholic faith in a fun and exciting way.

She works with a core group of volunteers to provide workshops and activities to support and offer opportunities for healing to people who are suffering from the loss of a spouse through death or divorce.</description>
